Just a quick post today… I was looking around online and managed to find some guys who filmed a three part Space Hulk video battle report. It really gives a great overview of the game! If watching other nerds on the internet play board games is your sort of thing, I recommend spending the next 25 minutes watching these videos.
This past week I spent a lovely vacation with some friends on the outer banks of North Carolina. It was a fantastic time spent lazing the days away on the beach, in the hot tub, in the pool, etc. However, the very first day we arrived there was rain drizzling down and a bit of wind blowing. Not such great beach weather, so I suggested that we play some games.
This past Saturday I joined up with some fellow DC Gamers for an afternoon of games. I took a backpack full of recent games with me, and managed to get quite a few of them to the table. Thanks to everyone for playing all the games I brought! We ended up playing Steam, Exxtra, Hurry Cup and Drahtseilakt.
Last night I got together with my friends Adam & Elise for a lovely sushi dinner. After we finished stuffing our faces with tons of maki and nigiri sushi we opted to play a few games. We decided to play some light card games, so ended up getting Rat-a-Tat Cat and Quiddler to the table.
My buddy Adam had a nice video camera around, so we did an impromptu recording of one of my favourite dexterity games: Villa Paletti.
I recently got together with a group of my gaming friends. We played an interesting selection of board games that we don’t normally explore, so I thought I’d post some comments on our session.
Another German board game session report, and once again I forgot to take photos. Not that it matters that much… my iPhone photo skills are particularly poor.
I was joined by two friends, Ashley and Andrew. We played a quick session of just two games.
I had few friends over the other night for games. Since I foolishly forgot to take photos while we played, I will have to steal some box cover photos from BGG to go along with this post. Cathedral – this quick abstract is one of the first games I picked up after getting into the [...]
Some serious snow came down last night and today, so my friend Adam and I decided to play the game Snow Tails. This is a dogsled racing game with some really cool movement and drift mechanisms.
