Snow Tails – time lapse recording of a two player game

snow_tails

Some serious snow came down last night and today, so my friend Adam and I decided to play the game Snow Tails. This is a dogsled racing game with some really cool movement and drift mechanisms.

Since Adam had never played the game, we used the basic track configuration called “The Nutcracker”. There are a number of other tracks you can set up with the game pieces, some of which are quite hazardous. We each raced two dogsleds, with me plaing red and black, and Adam as blue and green.

Check out the video below to see a time lapse recording of the game. Adam used his digital camera, enhanced with the open-source CHDK firmware, to take the hundreds of photos required for the movie.

As you can see from the video, I ended up winning by taking both first and third place. Better luck next time Adam!
